About Us (who we are)

The Northumbrian Chocolate Company is run by Emma Burnett from her family home in rural Northumberland.

Emma’s passion for chocolate came about in the New Year of 2008 when seeing how many selection boxes her children had left after Christmas, she decided to purchase some basic moulds from the internet and try her hand at making some chocolates for friends and family.

From that point on there was no turning back and by the Autumn of 2008 Emma had combined self teaching with attendance at professional training courses to become a chocolatier………and launch her own company in time for Christmas of the same year.

About us (our philosophy)

At the Northumbrian Chocolate Company we believe that great chocolates do not have to be complicated.  That’s why we temper by hand the finest Belgian couverture and combine it with fresh cream, natural flavours and the best raw ingredients to bring you simply good chocolates that do not have to hide behind fussy packaging.

Using the finest Belgian couverture also ensures that our products do not contain excessive fats or sugars to preserve them, providing you with a unique chocolate experience.
